According to the announcement from one of the officials in Taiwan, the Taiwanese government was currently optimistic to reach a Bilateral Investment Agreement (BIA) with the EU.
However, the total number of countries in the EU was counted as over 20, which caused the process to be slow, and Taiwan was currently striving for more support.
In the EU, there were more and more voices to call for the start of the BIA negotiation between Taiwan and the EU, as soon as possible, including Michael Gahler, a member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Germany.
