Global crude steel production reduces in 2020

According to statistics, global crude steel production amounted to around 1.83 billion tons in 2020, dropping by 1% compared to the previous year. The reduction was mainly due to a production cut in China and lower production capacity in various countries caused by the COVID-19 epidemic.

In December 2020, global crude steel output had a month-on-month increase of 2%, reaching approximately 160.9 million tons.
